How To Determine If You Have A Water Leak

If your water bill seems higher than usual, there are simple steps you can take to determine if you have a water line leak.

1. Locate your water meter. If you’re uncertain of where to find it, contact the water department.

2. Shut off the main valve. To be sure, flush the toilet or turn on a faucet to see if the water stops flowing through the fixture. If it doesn’t you can try shutting off the plumbing at the fixture shut-offs. Or you may need to replace the main water valve.

3. Locate the triangular small silver dial (red or black) on the meter. If the dial is still moving, you have a water line leak.

4. Call Leak Masters and request a water line leak inspection.
